Sydney Abrey

Sydney provides a welcoming environment for her students to learn and grow. She feels it is essential for learning to take place in an environment so that students are not only able to express themselves, but are free to make any mistakes or errors along the way. She specializes in RCM piano, Specifically in the practical and theoretical components. She has received her Bachelors Degree from Simon Fraser University in Music Composition and a minor in History as well as Advanced Theory.

Sydney was accepted on the spot at Capilano University for her Diploma in Music, Majoring in Piano and Saxophone. She has many other certifications including: AIDT Gold Lower Tap Examination, Elementary & Intermediate RCM Teacher Certification, Standard First Aid, Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion, WSI, Life Guard Candidate, and Lifeguard Saving Instructor.

Sydney encourages her student’s interests and provides her students with multiple means of demonstrating their education through different learning perspectives. She specifically focuses on technique, sight-reading, and ear training as well as their repertoire and etudes. Miss Sydney provides tools for them to to excel, feel confident that they can do anything, and feels strongly that they can achieve a wonderful magnificent thing.
