Colin Sankey
Colin Sankey is a bass player, composer and arranger from Vancouver, BC. Compared to the likes of Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, and Alain Caron, his use of extended techniques, such as tapping and harmonics, creates lush harmonies and infectious grooves that sound almost orchestral in nature.
He has been featured in collaborations with musicians from across the Americas, including YouTube bass sensations Charles Berthoud and Ruido Barilari, and performed with JUNO winner Hugh Fraser and JUNO nominee Francois Houle. In addition to being a founder of the band “Den Sessions”, Colin is also currently composing his solo debut album.
Colin is sharing his inspiring arrangements of popular, jazz, and classical music with his 3,000+ followers, and remains active on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
